Campbellford/Seymour Electric Generation Inc.
Campbellford is located on the Trent River beside Lock 14. It has two plants with a total output of 6 MW:
- Plant 1 was built in 1910 with two Francis turbines for a total output of 2 MW.
- Plant 2 was built in 1994 with two Kaplan turbines for a total output of 4 MW.

London Street Generating Stations
London Street Generating Station is located on the Otonabee River in the heart of Peterborough and has two plants with a total output of 10 MW:
- Plant 1 was built circa 1915 with three Francis turbines for a total station output of 4 MW.
- Plant 2 was built in 2016 beside Plant 1 with two Kaplan turbines for a total station output of 6 MW.
Plant 1 was originally constructed to supply power to the American Cereal Company, which became Quaker Oats and is now known as Pepsico Foods Canada. We acquired the station from Quaker Oats in 1975. The dam is owned and operated by Peterborough Utilities.
The station is operated through Peterborough Utilities Inc.
The Water Management Plan developed with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry was originally created in 2005 and last amended in 2018. The goal of the plan is to contribute to the environmental, social and economic well-being of the people of Ontario through the sustainable development of waterpower resources and to manage these resources in an ecologically sustainable way for the benefit of present and future generations. A Water Management Plan Implementation Report is required every five years and is available for review.
Robert G. Lake Generating Station
Robert G. Lake is an 8 MW facility on the Otonabee River beside Locks 22 and 23 on lands leased from Trent University.
The station was completed in 2009 with two 4 MW bulb turbines. The intake canal is over 1 km long, allowing us to take advantage of the height difference between the locks. The dams are owned and operated by the Trent-Severn Waterway and Parks Canada.
This station was named after Bob Lake who was the General Manager and President of the Peterborough Utilities Group for almost 20 years!
A virtual tour was used to showcase the Robert G. Lake Generating Station at the Power of Water Conference held by the Ontario Waterpower Association.
The station is operated through Trent Rapids Power Corporation.
Stanley Adamson Powerhouse
Stanley Adamson is located on the Otonabee River near the campus of Trent University. It has a total output of 3.9 MW.
In 2012, Peterborough Utilities and Trent University worked together to redevelop the station. The upgrade was completed in 2013 with the installation of three bulb turbines, increasing the capacity from 1.9 MW to its current 3.9 MW. The exterior shell of the original powerhouse was retained to preserve the cultural heritage of the site. The dam is owned by the Trent-Severn Waterway, but is operated by Peterborough Utilities.
The powerhouse was named after Stanley Robert Adamson, a former Vice-President of the Canadian General Electric Company and a member of the founding Board of Governors of Trent College.
The station is operated through Trent Energy Inc.
