Landlords and Owners
Service to help when tenants move in and out
Peterborough Utilities Group provides the following service to help property management companies and landlords manage the utility services (water/sewer and rental) when tenants move in and out.
Auto Connect Agreement |
By signing an Auto Connect Agreement (ACA), landlords and property managers authorize Peterborough Utilities Group to automatically transfer responsibility for the rental unit services to them when a tenant moves out. This ensures the water and rental equipment remain in service at the property if there has been no application for service. If the property is managed by a third party the water and rental services are transferred into the owner's name. Under this program, the account set-up fees are waived for landlords and property managers. We will notify the landlord or property manager by mail confirming the tenant has closed their account and that the service has been transferred to their name. When we receive a move-in request for a new tenant, we will transfer the account from the landlord or property manager to the new tenant. The new tenant will be responsible for one time set up fees. If you are interested in this program, please complete the ACA form. The owner of the property is the only person authorized to sign this form. If the property owner wishes to authorize a second person to sign this form, this must be indicated when the form is signed. Please return the completed ACA by: Email: info@peterboroughutilities.ca Fax: 705-748-6761 Mail: 1867 Ashburnham Dr. Stn. P.O. Box 4125, Station Main,Peterborough Ontario K9J 6Z5 |
